The Rotary Club of Saskatoon North believes working in the global community is important to build goodwill and friendships, and to promote world peace.  We pursue these objectives through our involvement in the Rotary Friendship Exchange, Group Study Exchange and the Ambassadorial Scholar Program.

Our club also supports ShelterBox Canada, a highly successful program that provides dignity and hope, enabling displaced persons to rebuild their lives.  Over the years our club has funded many international projects.

A few of the projects we funded in the past included:

  • Digging of wells in Africa to provide safe clean drinking water
  • Building latrines
  • Providing school supplies to poor children.
More recent projects have included:
  • Funding a school program in Tanzania to teach soil conversation, reforestation and horticulture
  • The ongoing Mother-Baby AIDS Project in La Ramona, Dominican Republic, which is establishing a low-cost, effective protocol to stop transmission of the AIDS virus from mother to baby at birth.
